That Green Gentleman (Things have changed)

So i'm sure many of you have heard this song, or this band before but there has always been a lot of talk about Panic at the Disco and other bands like Paramore, that have changed their sound and it's not as appealing anymore. Panic at the disco broke up at some point. I'm not entirely sure when. but then got back together released another album and just finished the Gospel tour with Walk The Moon.  This is one of those cases where I loved their old sound and new sound.
I have loved panic at the disco since I was 12, me and my best friend even made a music video for the song nine in the afternoon when we first discovered imovie. I just love this song and I hope you love it too!

Tighten Up

So as most of you may realize it's early September. Which means all kids are going back to school. Classes start on Monday for me, of course I started volleyball pre-season 3 weeks ago. We've already had a game and with school and classes and everything with work that i left until the last minute I've been stressed. I've spent hours in the library and of course Other Music, the music store around the corner of my school.  What do I do when I get stressed? Buy Music. so I bought this CD, and One of my best friends has been listening to this band for years and I've been meaning to catch up and listen to them too, but i never got around to it.
This song is called Tighten Up by the Black Keys and not to be cheesy or anything but it's like this song was written about me. I can completely relate to in 100%. And not even just like a moment in my life...Most of my life. I bought this album, along with Is This It by the Strokes and a bunch of albums by Band of Horses. So I hope you enjoy my stress release. I know I do.

Send Me On My Way

Hey So this song is and has been one of my favorites since I was really little. It's called Send me on my way by Rusted Root.  It's such a happy song however to understand it's importance to me I need to tell you a story first. I have gone to and am applying for a job at a summer camp. its called Frost Valley. I honestly believe that this camp might be the happiest and most amazing place on earth. Anyway this song was but in a a video that, well i guess you could say summed up summer 2013. and Summer 2013 sucked. I was going into high school, and there was big thunder storms all month and my best friend got sent home from camp and had to be tested because her depression was making her do things she shouldn't have been. And even though all this crappy stuff happened and this song was made to make me remember that summer. I remember the best parts and the most amazing parts. Somehow the Lyrics and melody and happiness of this song alone make me remember only the good of that awful summer. So enjoy!

Move Along

Good Morning! 11:47 over here on the east coast. This it's a nice sunny morning with the sun beaming through my 3rd floor bedroom in lower Manhattan. Lovely relaxing morning no? No it was not. I woke up a few hours ago because the smoke alarm down the hall would not stop beeping. So naturally I climbed up onto a a chair and ripped the bloody thing out of the ceiling. At this point I was awake so I decided to just move along and wake up eat breakfast and all that jazz when I thought of the next song I wanted to share.

This song is called Move Along, by the All American Rejects. The first time I heard this song was actually when it was the end song in "She's the Man". This is my, well kind of my frustrated I need to get over something song also I just love it. It's my go to walking/running/working out song. It not generally the kind of song that a person would listen to when they are upset but honestly it's a bit of a motivational song and I love it, So Enjoy!

Cloud Nine

How y'all doing? I am just fantastic if you were wondering. Now I know that there is probably no one even reading this but me, but I'm writing here to...oh I don't know, let out my inner writer and just let everyone know how I'm doing. What is going on and how things are affecting me and the way I'm living in this fine world. If you couldn't tell from the name of this blog and the URL, I'm a music person. and I also want to share what I'm listening to and what my friends are interested in and everything cause, and this may sound cheesy, i think a song, whether it's the lyrics, the melody, or the build can change a person's life. It can make a crappy day, just that much better. So that's what I really want to share. I'll give you songs and how I found them right when I needed them. Of course this might seem a bit dramatic for a high school sophomore. But whether you're 15, 25 or 35 I think, and I hope that you will listen to the songs and playlists and albums and that they will change your life, just as they have changed mine.

This first song that I'm giving is called Cloud Nine, by Ben Howard. I wish I knew more about this song other than that he wrote it about his sister. I actually had this song in my itunes library for a while, but just after some wonderful high school drama and right before I left on a school culture-immersion trip to india, I made a playlist that ended up having this song on it. I kinda just threw it on before I really knew what the song was, but now I love it. It's one of my favorite airplane songs to listen to, I hope you enjoy.
